DepEd Sarangani holds first virtual student presscon

For the first time, DepEd Sarangani gathered campus journalists and school paper advisers in a virtual schools press conference.

Participants from the seven municipalities of Sarangani joined the Virtual DSPC 2021 in the comforts of their homes via Facebook and Google Meet on November 16-19, 2021.

Keynote speaker, influencer and journalist JR Lopez Gonzales talked about his experience as a campus journalist to inspire the young writers who participated in the said event.

He also discussed the importance of social media in the healing of the nation.

"Huwag natin itong isipin bilang isang kumpetisyon kundi isang pagkakataon upang matuto," Journalism coordinator Analiza Domingo told the participants that the goal of the DSPC 2021 is to educate and not to compete.

"Huwag natin itong isipin bilang isang kumpetisyon kundi isang pagkakataon upang matuto," 
Workshops were conducted in various virtual breakout sessions.

Best outputs will be recognized on November 19.
