Interview, demonstration of applicants for new teaching positions continue; English Proficiency Test to be conducted soon

The hiring process for teaching positions in DepEd Sarangani continues as applicants participate in interviews and teaching demonstrations conducted in the different municipalities.

Pursuant to the Division Memorandum 44 series of 2022, which sets the guidelines for the recruitment, selection and placement of personnel for kindergarten, elementary, junior high school, and senior high school teaching positions for the school year 2022-2023, the School Screening Committees, Division Sub-Selection Committees, and Division Selection Committee have started the verification of documents, conduct of interviews, and rating of the applicants’ teaching demonstrations.

Last February 8, 2022, the personnel unit led by Rehanee Paidumama-Sambuto, AO IV, conducted a virtual orientation of all applicants.

For the whole month of March, interviews and teaching demonstrations were conducted in different districts, which were facilitated by the Division Sub-Selection Committees.

Sambuto said that unlike in 2020 and 2021, where interviews and demonstrations were conducted mostly online, this year, most of the applicants were interviewed and observed in person.

She also said that they already have requested for the conduct of the English Proficiency Test, which will be administered by the Bureau of Education Assessment.

The date of the English Proficiency Test will be announced once approved.

The Personnel Unit is thankful to all who are part of the hiring process for making it possible despite the limitations of the current situation.
