LIGTAS DAPAT: SCHOOL NURSES SA SARANGANI BUMISITA SA MGA PAARALAN SA UNANG ARAW NG PASUKAN

Sa gitna ng pananabik ng mga kabataan at magulang sa muling pagbubukas ng mga paaralan ngayong unang araw ng SY 2022-2023, paalala ng School Health and Nutrition Section ng DepEd Sarangani na unahin dapat ang kaligtasan ng lahat.



Ayon kay Mary Rose Wenna Ea, Nurse II, napag-alaman na sa kanilang paglilibot, may ilang mga mag-aaral na pumasok pa rin kahit mayroong lagnat.

Sa entrance pa lamang ay sinusukat na ang temperatura ng lahat na pumapasok sa paaralan at agad na dinadala sa isolation area at pinapasundo sa magulang o guardian.

Pinapayuhan naman ang mga magulang na huwag munang hayaang makihalubilo sa iba ang mga batang may lagnat at huwag na munang papasukin sa klase.

“Kailangang mapangalagaan natin ang bawat isa -- lalo na ang mga kabataan -- dahil magkakasama na sa isang silid ang mga bakunado at hindi bakunado,” paliwanag ng nars.

Dagdag pa niya na mahalagang mapanatili ang maayos na bentilasyon sa mga silid-aralan at kailangan laging nakasuot ng mask.

Sa kanilang obserbasyon, nahihirapan ang karamihan sa mga mag-aaral, lalo na ang mga nasa K-to-3 sa pagsuot ng mask sa loob ng mahabang panahon, at ang ilan sa kanila ay kusang tinatanggal ang suot na mask.

Pinapaalalahan ng Health and Nutrition Section ng DepEd Sarangani ang lahat ng mga guro na kailangang maghanda ng mga ekstrang mask sa kanilang klasrum, upang may magamit ang mga mag-aaral kapag nawala o narumihan ang kanilang mask.

Mahalaga rin din daw na bantayang maigi ang interaksyon ng mga kabataan sa kanilang kamag-aral at maging sa mga magulang na bumibisita sa paaralan.

“May ilang mga magulang na lumalagpas sa napagkasunduang lugar. Doon lang sila dapat sa designated dropping point at waiting area para maiwasan ang exposure ng mga kabataan sa ibang tao,” ayon pa kay Nurse Wenna.

Kasalukuyang nililibot ng mga school health personnel ang mga paaralan, sa pangunguna ng Medical Officer III ng dibisyon na si Dr. Anne Margaret Fronda, upang mapangalagaan ang kapakanan ng mga guro at mag-aaral sa pamamagitan ng pagsiguro na nasusunod ang COVID-19 health and safety protocols sa lahat ng oras.

The Schools Division of Sarangani was recently honored with two prestigious awards for their exceptional performance in professional development for both teaching and non-teaching staff.  During a ceremony held at the Greenleaf Hotel in General Santos City yesterday, the DepEd Regional Office XII awarded SDO Sarangani the major awards, Gawad Kagalingan and Gawad Bagwis.
