DepEd Sarangani receives awards for professional development and resource efficiency

The Schools Division of Sarangani was recently honored with two prestigious awards for their exceptional performance in professional development for both teaching and non-teaching staff. 

During a ceremony held at the Greenleaf Hotel in General Santos City yesterday, the DepEd Regional Office XII awarded SDO Sarangani the major awards, Gawad Kagalingan and Gawad Bagwis.







The Gawad Kagalingan is given to the SDO that exhibited exemplary performance in the implementation of professional development for teaching and nonteaching employees.

Meanwhile, the Gawad Bagwis is awarded to the SDO for its exemplary performance in the implementation of programs, projects, and activities on personnel performance management, Rewards and Recognition, talent development, and successful planning.











The division also made a remarkable achievement by securing the top two spots for the number of teachers and school leaders trained under the NEAP-recognized training, as well as for the number of CPD-accredited PD programs and NEAP recognition of PD programs.

The Schools Division of Sarangani also demonstrated efficiency in utilizing available resources by achieving 100% utilization of HRTD, OPDNTP, and INSET funds.















These achievements were acknowledged by the DepEd Regional Office XII and serve as a reflection of their commitment to elevating the education system in the region.

Assistant Schools Division Superintendent Nerissa A. Alfafara, CESE, Marites D. Lara, Senior Education Program Specialist for HRDS, and Madina Logiuoman, Education Program Specialist 2, accepted the awards.

Lara, who spearheads the implementation of professional development programs, dedicated said achievements to the Almighty and thanked the leaders and her colleagues in the Division of Sarangani.

Schools Division Superintendent Gildo G. Mosqueda, CEO VI expressed his gratitude for the recognition, "We are thrilled to receive these awards as it is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our staff to provide quality professional development opportunities for our employees. We will continue to strive for excellence in the education system in Sarangani."
