CBS China Bank Savings Honors Educators in Koronadal for National Teachers’ Month

Koronadal City, South Cotabato — As a proud event partner of the Department of Education (DepEd), CBS China Bank Savings joined the DepEd-initiated National Teachers’ Month (NTM) kickoff celebration held on September 7, 2025, bringing together educators from across Mindanao for a day of recognition, gratitude, and celebration.

In support of the event, CBS awarded 10 brand-new laptops to outstanding public school teachers from various regions in Mindanao. The recipients were:
  1. Airah Denissa E. Buniel – Region X Gingoog City, Lunao Central School
  2. Hazel Mae S. Buo – CARAGA, Siargao, Cambas AC Elementary School
  3. Caren Mae E. Acosta – CARAGA, Butuan, Butuan City School of Arts and Trades
  4. Shandy Reina G. Sahid – Region XII, Sultan Kudarat, ICS – SPED
  5. Caroline R. Deximo – Region XII, Sultan Kudarat, ICS – SPED
  6. Idarie I. Enig – Region XII, Cotabato, Manobo Elementary School
  7. Edward A. Edon – Region X, Camiguin, Cabuan Elementary School
  8. Elmar P. Magbanua – Region IX, Zamboanga del Sur, Esperanza Elementary School
  9. Ritchelyn B. Motoy – Region XII, General Santos City, Tanda Elementary School
  10. Omegalyn P. Bismar – Region XII, General Santos City, Maligaya Elementary School




To further empower educators in their daily work, three teachers also won brand-new Honda Click 125 motorcycles—a practical and symbolic gesture of support for their commitment and mobility needs. The winners were:
  1. Jesson A. Lechido – Region XI, Tagum City, Jose Tuason Jr. Memorial National High School
  2. Ricky C. Ignacio – Region XII, Kidapawan City, Lanao Central Elementary School
  3. Marvin E. Bacos – Region XII, General Santos City, Nicolas Danie Aligado IPIS

CBS President James Christian T. Dee delivers a message for the teachers


In his keynote message, CBS President James Christian T. Dee emphasized the Bank’s dedication to empowering educators through both recognition and financial inclusion:

“CBS is ready to help our educators in their financial wellness journey toward financial freedom. This is our way of giving back to the teaching community that shapes our nation’s future every day.”

The celebration reflects CBS’s broader mission of being a reliable partner for Filipino teachers not just through awards, but also through accessible financial solutions and long- term support for their personal and professional growth.

While this particular event was led and initiated by DepEd, CBS continues to collaborate as an active institutional partner, advocating for programs that uplift public educators, students, and schools.
