Sox Bloggers SPOT supports Global Handwashing Day, donates hygiene kits to Pag-asa Integrated School

In support of the celebration of the Global Handwashing Day, the SOCCSKSARGEN Bloggers a.k.a. Sox Bloggers conducted an event called Fun Day with the Kids of Pag-asa Integrated School, today, October 13, 2022.

Sox Bloggers is a community of bloggers, vloggers, and social media influencers who are creating content to show the “real image” of SOCCSKSARGEN to the world and help promote local businesses, events, places, and activities.

For their project SPOT (Service. Partnership. Outreach. Thanksgiving.) the Sox Bloggers partnered with International Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (IPI), which donated over 100 hygiene kits, containing Bioderm soap bars and Casino Rubbing alcohol, for the learners of Pag-asa IS.

Bloggers Jake Claudius Clave and Michael Carbon facilitated fun games with the kids, while Chiclet Rillo taught the kids proper handwashing and the importance of good hygiene practices.

“Aside from proper hygiene, we also think that kids should develop the habit of hydration at a young age. That is why we are giving them tumblers, which they could use to bring their own drinking water to school,” Rillo said.

Ricky Bustos delivered a talk on leadership and media literacy to the officers of the Supreme Pupil Government, Supreme Student Government, and IP organization.

The participating learners also received school supplies and Jollibee food packs.

“Thank you for choosing our school as your beneficiary,” School Principal Marissa P. Jamili expressed her gratitude for the said activity.

“This is our way of giving back and paying it forward. We distributed school supplies because we want the kids to give importance to their education and that even if they are in a place that is quite far from the city, they can have great opportunities in life if they will study hard,” Michael Carbon said.

“We are thanking IPI and Jollibee, as well as the local government of Sarangani headed by Gov. Ruel D. Pacquiao and Vice-Gov. Elmer T. De Peralta, for supporting the event,” Avel Mananansala, Sox Bloggers lead convenor added.
